Mr Lawrence Costa
Member for Arafura 2016-2022
On behalf of all Territorians and the Northern Territory Government,
we extend our sincere condolences on the passing of Mr Costa.
Lawrence Costa was a wonderful husband, a father, a grandfather,
a leader in the community and a friend to many.
He served the communities of the Tiwi Islands, Maningrida and West Arnhem
for more than six years as the Member for Arafura.
A strong advocate, his efforts throughout his working life impacted many
people’s lives for the better.
To Ebony and his family our deepest condolences.
To his extended and extensive family, to his colleagues and friends —
we will all miss him terribly.
Lawrence was a committed family man who loved his country.
He has left a great legacy and his loss is deeply felt.
