But you see to us it’s just like yesterday
Your smile, that hat, that smart young soul
Was taken from us that fateful day
We will always remember the good times
But we will never forget that day
The day that you were given your wings
To fly high in the heavens to stay
A mother left with empty arms
A father left helpless and blue
A sister longing for her brother
And mates not knowing what to do
Our hearts will always grieve for you
Our souls never quite the same
Just know how much we love you
