A Skyful of Angels
Staring at the moon on a magic moonlit night
Whispy clouds were swirling, giving me delight
A star here and there was blinking back at me
Suddenly I couldn’t believe the things that I could see.
Movement in the heavens as the clouds reformed again
Gentle breezes blowing made contorted shapes and then
I started seeing visions in the shapes that came to be
Angelic forms above me in the clouds that I could see.
Whispy wings gave movement to the white and fragile swirls
The nodding heads resplendent in a cloudy mop of curls
Gowned in their regalia of their heavenly styled attire
Of flowing robes that melted in their night of my desire.
And here and there were other sights of similar formations
Floating, drifting moving on to heavenly destinations
I felt a thrill of ecstasy as I gazed up at the heavens
And tried to count my angels, well maybe six or seven.
Was it my imagination? Or maybe I was dreaming
To see such signs upon a night in moonlights golden beaming
But it really doesn’t matter for the truth is I know why
There are many guarding, guiding angels floating in the sky.

My dearest mother, you now are my guardian angel.
Every year I will publish a poem that you wrote.
This not only celebrates your life and your talent as an unpublished poet,
but it shows the world that you were and still are my best friend.
I have no hugs from you anymore,
but I have your heart in my memories and your soul in my body.
I love you forever Marby my twin and best friend.
