Leslie Greener
13/02/1900 – 08/12/1974
It is 50 years since this extraordinary man passed away,
but his legacy lives on in his many achievements.
Artist, author, archaeologist, broadcaster, soldier, POW,
founding Director of Adult Education in Tasmania,
chairman of the Tasmanian Historical Research
association, mentor to aspiring writers, and much more.
He had a brilliant and enquiring mind, and was
profoundly interested in everything. A kind and devoted
husband and father, he is survived by his son and step
daughter, grandchildren and great grand children.
