HEINEMANN, Diane Maureen 'Di'

Our thoughts, love and prayers to Karen, Sonia, Gary and their families following the loss of their much loved and devoted Mum, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

My memories of Di are of a woman who always had her opinion, was feisty but always looking out for others before herself. She gave great advise and always had a hug and smile for me when I went home, as well as telling me 'you've got a good one there, I think she's a keeper' when she met Debbie when we went home for a holiday.

I still remember when she visited the UK with Mum in 2010 seeing the smile and amazement as we walked around Stratford-upon-Avon and seeing Shakespeare's house, as well as being like a kid in a chocolate shop when we travelled to Paris, to finally seeing her making a 'snow angel' on the pavement outside of my house with a beaming smile as the snow slowly fell. Priceless memories that I will treasure!

I will miss her hugs, hearing her voice when she would say 'g'day mate, how are ya' followed by 'yeh, I'm ok for an old chick' when I would call her, all too infrequently! I loved listening to her stories and hearing the passion she had for her family in her voice. I thank her for being a huge influence on my life, many times without knowing, for which I am eternally thankful.

Now it is time to rest 'kiddo', sleep in peace gorgeous lady and enjoy catching up with everyone again!
