DAD, how little did we know that day?
Our lives were going to be shattered,
Because as long as you were in it Dad,
That was all that mattered.
They say time heals and that may be true,
But we think that’s Bulls@#*t Dad,
Because we’ll never get over you.
You were our Hero, our strength
Our confidant, our best mate.
It’s so hard for us now Dad,
Just to walk through the front gate.
So when we walk through the front door,
And you are not there.
Is when reality kicks in Dad.
And we see your empty chair.
The only thing that brings us comfort,
Is knowing you’re no longer in pain,
But without you in our lives Dad
Things just wont be the same.
I can hear you saying
"C’mon pull ya head in and be strong"
It’s not easy to do though Dad,
When beside you we belonged.
Well we’ve got one last favour to ask Father,
Is that you make sure,
That when its our turn to go Dad,
You’re there to greet us at the door.
We Love and Miss you Dearly,
Your loving Wife Jenny

Grandchildren Shae-Lee, Jake, Chelsea, Taylah, Seth
Although time goes by so quickly,
My pain is still so raw,
For you are the one I will Always love,
And the one whom I adore.
