We could speak of many stories
of how you done us proud.
The working of your lands
your timber and your cattle,
your dogs that you did train.
Strength and perseverance the teaching of your young ones
on horses and on tractors.
We’ve seen your hard worked hands,
the pride you taught and shared.
You always done us proud.
The dams you dug, shed you built,
the soil you ploughed.
With prayers for rain to nurture
your crops to grow,
we seen your blood and tears.
We smiled to hear your laughter ,
your songs you roared with glee.
Your love we always treasured as your blood flows through our veins.
Your smile we have in memory and your presence we fell forever
when a dragonfly flaps his wings
with now a decade passing us by
of course, you’ll always do us proud
your loving wife
Betty and all the family
