In Loving memory of Our Deano – Dean Adley Knack
Like water on a weathered stone, the years have taken toll
The years we’ve been without you are an ache deep in the soul.
People say time heals the hurt – as time goes by it fades
But that’s not true. The only way the hurt would end is if you could have stayed.
You were too wise for this world – we couldn’t hold you here
Yet I am thankful every day that you are always near.
You were a gift from up above, on loan but not to keep
And the empty void your passing left is filled with the tears we weep.
You gave us unconditional love in the time we had with you.
Your spirit and your guidance has to somehow help us through.
We hope that one day we will all be together as before -
That you’ll be waiting when we cross to show us through the door.
Until that time, we’ll live our lives to the best that we are able
So that when our journey ends, you’ll have a place for us at your table.
My Deano, my darling. We love you all the diamonds in the sky and miss you every day.
From your loving family.
