Laffey, Michael Joseph Tragically taken from us on 17 November 2008. We love you always. From your loving family Micky, it's been four long years, Filled with so many tears; No words we write could ever say, How sad and empty our lives are today. Growing up we had so much fun, You couldn't ask for a better son; Our family is such a beautiful mix, But you were definitely the best of six. Our lives have taken a terrible turn, But for you a candle will always burn; Your hair was brown; your eyes were blue, We hope you know how much we still love you. Your room is how you left it, But we do like to come and sit; And look upon the good times, For losing you was one of life's greatest crimes. Your grave is now where we lay, Just to be close to you each day; We still hold this great fear, Of how life can go on without you here. Micky, your beautiful smile we surely do miss, Oh how we long for a hug and a kiss; Four years feels like a lifetime, But in our lives your memory will always shine.
