Beloved son of Edward (dec) and Hazel (dec). Beloved brother of Alan, Ian (dec), Peter (dec) & Judith. Beloved brother in law to Colin and Jo-ann.
David was a wonderful loving partner and best friend to Tony for almost 35 years. (7 April 1988).
David’s family home was in Strawberry Road Manly, Brisbane. He went to the Manly State School and Wynnum State High School.
In life, David had a wide and varied career path, salesman at Myers, Barman, Hotel Manager, Mackay, Manager of the Great Keppel Island Getaway. Restaurant Supervisor and Bar manager at Brandys Restaurant Toowoomba, Night Manager, Canberra Rex Hotel, Public Servant in Canberra and Brisbane.
In Brisbane David worked in the CES, Sarina Russo and Mission Australia. (Case Manager). David was well-respected at work and very loved by family and friends.
Beloved Family member and friend to Sam and Jackie, Tina, Mary, Frankie and Charlene, Josh and Katie, Cory, Brayden, Claire and Lorenzo, Trinity and their families. Mary, Adam and Katrina. Best friend to Billy, Di and Peter, Phyllis and Ian, Nat and Mark (NZ), Lady Liz and Sir Leo, Tony P, Ann and many many others.
A wonderful Chef and entertainer. Loved his homes and gardens, especially his roses and orchids. A very house proud man.
Everyone loved his cooking.
David was admitted to Hospital, on the 27 February 2023, and died on the evening of the 28 February 2023.
David’s unexpected death in such a short period of time has left family, friends, and his loving partner Tony in shock and heartbroken.
Rest in Peace David, you were dearly loved and will never be forgotten . Till we meet again, love Tony.
Privately cremated as per David’s wishes.
