How do you define a man like Jock?

Old-school? Tough? No nonsense?

Sure, all of the above.

But he had a heart of gold and a wit that would have you in tears of laughter.

On the field as in life

Jock never took a backwards step.

Looked you in the eye and told you to your face.

Jock fought a long tough battle with his illness.

He never asked for anything, never put his hand out or felt sorry for himself.

The final siren has gone. He has hung up his boots for the final time.
