Putting pen to paper as time marches on,
18 yrs now, we endure your death, our darling son.

We still question why, as we miss you every day,
Feels like it was only yesterday, when death took you away.

You not being with us, reminders still make us weep,
Happy memories with you, in our hearts though, we do keep.

Over whelming at times is our pain,
Desperate we are to see you alive again.

The promise we have that soon you, we will see,
Frustratingly though, patient we must be.

That wonderful time, we will shed such tears of joy,
To again hold you in our arms, our darling boy.
