FAHEY - The Honourable John Joseph, AC, GCSG
Australian Catholic University (ACU) is profoundly saddened by the death of the University's Chancellor the Hon John Fahey AC, GCSG on 12 September 2020.
Mr Fahey was appointed in 2014 as the fourth Chancellor of ACU. As Chancellor and chairman of the ACU Senate, he oversaw expansion of the university, enhanced research capabilities, deepening partnerships, and greater community engagement.
Mr Fahey was greatly loved as Chancellor. He was profoundly committed to the idea of a Catholic university, and brought to office courage, wisdom and integrity.
ACU extends condolences to his wife Colleen, children and grandchildren. ACU will hold Memorial Masses to honour his memory in the coming days. May He Rest in Peace.
