Warne, Shane

I never knew Shane Warne. I went to the SCG with my family my wife’s idea. I always thought he was a genius. This day cricket finished and my three young sons noticed that a crowd was building near the ladies stand. Then Shane and a few other of his team mates came out and signed autographs. Shane signed autographs till they where all done, teamsters went back into the members stand but not Shane he kept signing. Some smart arse made a derogatory remark and Shane spoke to him with great patience he was then removed. Shane continued to sign autographs to the very last person was happy. I walked away from the SCG that day with a huge amount of respect for this man that media had built a not so gray reputation of Shane with the utmost respect for him. From then on I told that story to whoever would listen. I have read and watched many stories about Shane it would seem the media needs to look inward this great man, father and friend was one of the great people the world has seen. Rest easy Shane we all now know how great a person you where.
