The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
The members and friends of the Rotary Club of Walkerville are saddened by the passing of our dear friend and colleague Rex Adams.
Rex has been integral to the club’s activities since our charter in 1989. He exemplified the ideal of service above self and held many positions in the club from board member through to president. He was a driving presence behind key activities including the Preserve Planet Earth group, Tree Propagation over thirty years leading to over 150,000 trees being planted in locations from Port Lincoln to Langhorne Creek and regular Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Concerts for senior citizens.
When Rex committed to a cause, success was assured.
Rex had a remarkable ability to connect us to the community through his service to Local Government as a councillor and the Murray Darling Association leading to his receipt of the OAM in 2018. His links with the Police Credit Union and Wilderness School proved invaluable to our club.
His enthusiasm and commitment to Walkerville Rotary and the Walkerville Community will be missed by us all.
Our sincere condolences are extended to Lyn, Luke, Jess, Ollie and Rory
