On behalf of the NT Training Awards, we send our deepest condolences to the family of the
Honourable Austin Asche AC KC.
The Austin Asche Apprentice of the Year award recognises the Territory’s most outstanding apprentice each year. The award was named after the Honourable Austin Asche as a legacy of his success and in recognition of his long standing involvement in, and passion for, the Territories vocational education and training sector.
Austin served the community in so many ways and was a passionate advocate for apprentices as ‘an
original, fast thinking group with individual ideas who are very important to talk to so that everyday
challenges and their solutions are found.’
The NT Training Awards are grateful to have had
such an outstanding ambassador who will be remembered for his contribution to the awards for
years to come.
