The President and members of The Rotary Club of Geelong East Inc. extend their sympathies to Joan and the Backwell family on the passing of Alan, Past President of the Club 2003-2004 and a Paul Harris Fellow.

Alan, through his involvement in Rotary, gave more than three decades of service to the Club, the Geelong East community and the worldwide Rotary movement.

He will be remembered with affection, respect and admiration.

We who were his friends in service are blessed in that.
