BARCLAY, Allan (Chippy)

It is with sadness that the Flag Officers, Management and members of the Adelaide Sailing Club note the passing of our former Life Commodore Chippy Barclay who died on the 17th of January. Chippy was Commodore of the former Glenelg sailing Club for 10 years and was a hard-working can-do type who made an enormous contribution to the Club and the amazing growth in Sailing during the 1960s. He was highly regarded throughout Australian sailing circles as a fierce competitor and wonderful patron of the sport of sailing.
