BEAL, Valerie Francis (nee Illich) Valerie passed away peacefully on 19/4/19, aged 91. Widow of former Bishop of Wangaratta, Robert Beal, survived by her 6 children, 19 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren. Valerie led an extraordinary life & her formative early years in Townsville were amongst some of her happiest. She was a pioneering women s radio presenter at 4TO & a former Miss QLD 1947.
