Betty (Elizabeth Josephine) Boyle, born 24 August 1926, passed away Saturday 17 September at Farnorah Nursing Home, Cairns aged 96 years.
Betty was born and raised in Nambour, (parents Lionel and Kathleen Hogue, brothers Bernie, Colin and Lionel). Betty and her husband Bernie farmed sugarcane and small crops on Petrie Creek Road, retiring to Coolum and then Buderim.
Betty is survived by her children David, Kathy and Libby, grandchildren Jo, Tim, Michelle, Joanne and Nicola, and great grandchildren Jordan, Caitlin, Luca, Jasmine, Quinn, Ruairi and sisters-in-law Lettie and Irene Hogue and many nieces and nephews of the Boyle and Hogue families.
The family will host a morning tea for Farnorah Staff (past and present) at Farnorah, Wednesday 28 Sept as a heartfelt thank you for their 12 years of love and dedication to Betty.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at the original Boyle farm on Petrie Creek Road, Nambour at a date to be confirmed.
