Br Edward (Ted) Merritt msc

It is with immense sadness that we share the news of the passing of a loved Brother of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart (MSC).

Br Ted was a tireless worker, generous and prayerful and an inspiring Religious.

Since 1960 he has ministered in the NT assisting people in the remote Aboriginal communities of Bathurst Island, Santa Teresa, Daly River, Wudicupildiyerr and Wadeye.

Br Ted moved to Darwin in 2001 where as a member of the St Vincent De Paul Society he has been a fearless, persistent and practical advocate for those in need. Rest in peace. Missionaries of the Sacred Heart NT
