Brother Gerry Burke, Missionary of the Sacred Heart (MSC) and religious minister in the Diocese of Darwin for more than 40 years, died peacefully last Sunday, December 4, aged 88, after several months of declining health.

His Requiem Mass and Funeral will take place in New South Wales late next week, but the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart NT and the Darwin diocese are planning a Memorial Mass at St Paul’s Church, Nightcliff, on Thursday, December 15th at 5.30 pm to acknowledge and celebrate his lifetime of fidelity and commitment to the many and varied ministries entrusted to him over that period.

May he rest in Peace.
