Dr Bush-Blanasi
Charles Darwin University (CDU) wish to mark the passing of Dr. Samuel Bush-Blanasi and extend our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, colleagues and Community.
As an Institution we remember the proud Mayili and resident of the Wugularr (Beswick) community in Katherine man for his remarkable and fearless advocacy and impact in the advancement of Aboriginal peoples.
Earlier this year CDU had the honour of awarding an Honorary Doctor of Letters, recognising Dr. Bush-Blanasi’s legacy, marked by his decades of service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their progress, welfare, empowerment and rights.
To mark the passing of this strong leader, CDU flags will be flying at half-mast on this day of Dr. Bush-Blanasi’s funeral.
