Remembering Quincy Jones: the legendary music icon, producer, and philanthropist whose profound influence spanned over seven decades and inspired generations.

Aged 76 years, in Noosa, formerly of Melbourne and Sydney.
After a long illness, Douglas died peacefully with his Wife beside him. He is survived by his loving Wife Julia, his devoted Sister Janette and her Husband Brian, 6 Nieces, 18 Great Nieces and Nephews and many Great Grand Nieces and Nephews, plus his Sister-in-law Helen.
His career was full of distinguished achievements in his field of Strategic Management Advice. He was a Partner at Coopers and Lybrand and at Price Waterhouse, before forming his own Company, Dench, McClean and Carlson where he was the Managing Director. After retiring in 2004, Douglas and Julia retired from Melbourne to Noosa Springs, where his life was filled with laughter and friends, bridge, golf, flying and boating.
Douglas will be deeply missed.
He will be buried in Sydney with his Parents and Brother. A service will be held there at that time.
In due course, a Memorial will be held in Noosa.
