The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
CHISHOLM. _ Elva June. Mum, you were our magnet. You could always bring your family back together in fun ways. I can still remember when you put music into my life - And in every song, I will feel And remember some of your pain And in the words I will see some of your gain And in the tune I can somehow carry on even though you're not here. It won't be the same. You will always be there singing in my heart. It was your powerful, strong, sensitive, loving way that gave you courage to stay for us. We will respect and remember you in all your ways. In our hearts forever Rest in Peace now. You have your baby son again in your arms. Until it's our time. _ Your loving daughter Karen, son-in-law Con and grand- children Matthew, Chernaye, David and Daniel.
