25.7.1941 - 10.06.2023
Passed away at the RAH
due to significant COVID complications.
Dearly loved husband
of Marie for 57 years.
Loving father
of Amanda (deceased) and Rachel,
and father-in-law of David.
Lovable Poppa Fox
of Caitlin and Quinn,
Jasper and Jonte.
Hardworking electrician, including 20 odd years with SANTOS (Moomba). Music and radio were his passions, playing numerous bands and working as DJ ‘Silver Fox’ at the Arkaba Hotel in the 1970s. He enjoyed various announcing roles at 2BH, 5AU, 5KA, 5AD between 1977-1995. After receiving the most precious gift of a new heart in 1997 at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney he was able to get back into life with his family, return to work and to volunteer announcing and training at Radio Adelaide 5UV.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr Enzo de Angelis, Dr Cathy Reid, Dr Chen Au Peh, Asha Ketteridge and the wonderful staff at Regency Medical Clinic for their dedicated care over many years. Special thanks also to Dr Caroline Connell, Dr Robert Coren and more recently, Royal Adelaide Hospital staff.
An honest and kind man so sorely missed.
Rest in peace our darling until we meet again.
