Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
CLAVANT. _ Cornelius `Con'. Dear Grandpa, At the start of my journey, you welcomed me into the world with a teddy bear, a smile and a hug. I was glad to lend you the same bear and repay those smiles and hugs as you neared the end of your journey. I hope it gave you some comfort. I wish I had the chance to get to know you better - to grow up with you by my side ... and importantly, share more ice creams. Dad promises me that he'll tell me all the awesome things about you, and says that if he can be a fraction of the man you were, I'll be a lucky girl. I know you'll be looking down on me all my life, but it won't be the same without you here. Love and miss you Grandpa _ Sophia.
