Corbett, Alan Weldon. Late of Burleigh Heads, Wellers Hill, Brisbane, and Toowoomba Died peacefully on 4th May, 2019 at Rose Bay, Sydney at the age of 94. He was pre-deceased by Heather, his wife of 67 years by one year and 121 days. Alan grew up in Nundah in Brisbane and attended State High. At the age of 17 he joined the Empire Air Training Scheme and served in England. He married Heather Mackee in 1951 and had four children, Stephen, Deborah, Andrew and Duncan. His working life was as a telecommunications engineer and in retirement he worked for the Professional Officers Association. He was a keen sportsman, traveller and especially, singer. His children remember by heart the songs from a half dozen musicals in which he played the dashing male lead for the Toowoomba Choral Society. He played his harmonica until the end. He will be greatly missed by us all.
