Member for Arafura

The Mayor, Councillors of the Tiwi Islands Regional Council and Communities are saddened by the sudden passing of Mr Costa, the Member for Arafura and a proud Manupi family member of the Tiwi people.

Mr Costa was the first CEO of the Tiwi Islands Local Government and also held senior positions in other forms of Tiwi Local Government that were created over the years.
A passionate man with strong cultural beliefs, a committed family man and an advocate for the Tiwi People and communities over many years will be missed.

On behalf of the Tiwi Communities, family and all that were honoured to know him, the Council thanks Mr Costa for his support for the Tiwi Communities and extends it's sincere and deepest condolences to his Wife Ebony, his Children and his Grandchildren.
