Des passed away peacefully at the Friendly Society Private Hospital on 13 April 2020, aged 82 years. Late of North Bundaberg and formerly of Essendean and Redmonds, Berajondo and son of George and Edna Cross (nee Hills) (both deceased). Beloved husband of Ann and dearly loved father & father-in-law of Desleigh & Bruce Poulsen, Judy Dash and Vickie & Ray Linderberg. A loving Poppy to Katie & Matt; Alex, Megan & Jarred; Anthea & Zoe and their partners. Loving Great Poppy to Isabelle & Arliyah, Lewis & Roman. Big brother of Thelma, Joyce, Florence & Dawn and loved brother-in-law and uncle of the related Cross and Wake families.

Des was privately cremated as per his wishes. A Celebration of his Life will be held at a future date.
