Danila Dilba Health Service extends our deepest sympathies to Barbara’s children, Kerry & John, their children, family and friends at this very sad time.

Barbara was a truly remarkable woman – courageous, formidable, and utterly fearless in her fight for social justice particularly for members of the Stolen Generations. Her contributions to the community were significant and lasting.

We thank Barbara for her leadership and friendship and for the role she played as a founding member of Danila Dilba Health Service. She was Danila Dilba’s first client when our service was established in 1991.

Her passing is mourned by all of us at Danila Dilba. We will miss her irrepressible special charm!
