The family of the late Kevin Neil Currie, the husband of Joy Edna Currie (nee Cooley), brother of the late Neville James Currie (longtime former Winton post employee), son of the late William James Currie and Evelyn May Currie (nee Fickling), passed away on the 23/01/22 at Regis Aged Care, Caboolture. Kevin was a longtime resident of Winton, where he worked in numerous shearing sheds as a Shearer. He and the family were also residents of Townsville during the eighties and nineties, where Kevin worked for Queensland Rail on the platform and Goods shed. In addition, Kevin was politically active in supporting his community through the ALP and was known for writing many letters to the Townsville Bulletin and Courier-Mail. Joy, his wife, Sharon, his daughter, Vince, his son and six grandchildren survive Kevin, who was 91 when he passed.
