Born in Port Lincoln on March 4, 1937. Passed away peacefully in the presence of family on August 14, 2021. Aged 84 years. Reunited with Dear Dad. After 62 years of loving marriage, 3 months apart was too long. Together forever Devoted, caring and loving mother and mother-in-law of Wayne and Jenny, Peter, Chris and Christine, Paul and Stephanie. Cherished Nanna of Michael and Miriam, David and Alora, John and Chandra, James and Naomi, Ben and Helena, Hannah and Ruvae, Arielle, Reuben and Anneliese. Great-Nanna of Susanna, Patrick, Riley, Isabella, Jasmine, Zarah, Noah, Elijah and Sofia. Daughter of Jack Gordon and Marghuerita Bernice Davey. Loved sister and sister-in-law of Donald, Louise, Laurence and Elizabeth, Alfredo and Giuseppina, Giovanna and Nicola, Melina and Joe, Vincenzo and Teresina, Eleanora and Antonio, Giuseppe. Loved and respected by all the family. Mum, you were a loving and devoted wife and mother. We boys couldn’t have asked for a better upbringing. We’re forever grateful for all you and Dad did for us and for the example you set us. You were a beautiful nanna and great-nanna to our kids and their kids. Thank you for your cheeky sense of humour. You fought the brave fight. Five cancer surgeries, then a massive stroke, the loss of Dad in a car accident and finally it took acute myeloid leukaemia to bring you down. But through it all you never complained, denying pain even when it was obvious to us all. Your concern was always for your family and others. Our thanks to Aunty Louise and Sue for all the years of love and support, and to the staff and residents of the West Beach Southern Cross Residential Care Facility for their care for Mum over the last 6 years.
