DEAN, Susan.May 19, 1943-August 14, 2014San JoseSusan A. Dean, 71 a devoted wife, mother of two, grandmother of five, sister of two, passed away August 14th, 2014. Born, educated and married in Adelaide, South Australia, mothered two children in UK, emigrated to US, lived in Atlanta, Los Angeles, ultimately settling down in San Jose, California.A graduate Geneticist, with a Masters in Biology, her career peaked with two decades of research in automated blood cell analysis with Becton Dickenson. At home she was an accomplished seamstress and quilter, loved cultivating roses and lilies, explored new vistas of cooking and book club participation.She is survived by her husband Peter, daughter Rosemary, son Alan, grandchildren Ryan, Kevin, Emily, Ian, and Brian, and her brothers Tony and John.
