DENT. - Donald Graham. 2 June 1930 - 17 Dec. 2001 A life that made a difference Son of Fred and Daisy, brother of Robert, Heather and Pat. Father of Jannine, Graham, Mark, Stuart and Robyn. Grandpa of 16! Oh my darling Daddy. Thank you most precious, talented, loving man for your passion, your imagination, your humour, your music, your drawings, your books, your movies and the eternal flame of your heart. You could never have lived in this worldwithout your Clare and now she has softly called you home. Our hearts break as yours is finally mended. "Somewhere beyond the sink- hole, past the magnolia, under the live oaks, a boy and a yearling ran side by side, and were gone forever." - Your Jannine, Akie, Caddy and Rob, Jordie, Joshua, Genevieve and Christian. My dear Dad, the ordinary man who showed us extraordinary things, the quiet man who filled our lives with the noise of music, literature and philosophy; a shy man who found it hard to talk of love, yet showed us love in everything he did and lived his life with a passion; the man with a dry quick wit that made others laugh even through to his last days;the man who left school early, yet taught all of us the most important things about values, love and being true to yourself; Dad you were more than a great father and grandfather - you were a great man and I shall forever be proud to say I love you, and that I was your son. I owe you more than you could know. Go to Mum, Dad, and leave behind the pain and torment. With all our love. - Graham, Robyn, Luke and Chris. Dad, The most beautiful man I've ever known. You lived for your precious Clare and your five kids. Your spirit, compassion, courage and above all, your love enveloped me through our time together. You taught me the simple truth that we can only find happiness and peace of heart through our love of people. You taught me how the power of words and great literature can change our lives. You created magic in my life with your stories. You immersed my soul in music. You took me by the hand and introduced me to the world's greatest football team - our beloved Collingwood. You caressed my brow when I was sick, you held me when I was afraid and you loved my precious Maggie with a tenderness that brokemy heart. Ricky and Julianne will never forget the laughter and joy you brought into their young lives. Dad, you often told me that death will be a great adventure. I hope you find your Princess Clare waiting to share it with you. I love you sweet man. - Mark, Maggie, Julianne and Ricky. The most intelligent and creative man I ever knew. Donnie Dent could have just about been anything he wanted, and that's exactly what he was - loved and adored by his childhood sweetheart, children and grandchildren, completely content. I inherited his wicked sense of humour and his stubbornness, but his loyalty, courage, ability to love and forgive and roll with
