DOUBLEDAY. _ Kenneth Leslie Ken Doubleday died on June 8, 2014 aged 88 at Geelong Hospital after having a fall at his home in Werribee. For more than 50 years the Kendall family (late Wilfred and Margaret, Neville and Margo, Bruce and Wendy, the late Scott, and Madeleine) have enjoyed a mutually loving and respectful family friendship with Ken and shown support for one another when needed. Our happy memories of Ken with his quiet but very helpful ways and actions will sustain us in the future. He will be missed by his many personal and professional friends. We wish to thank the staff at the Hospital for their dedicated support and care for Ken in his last days. At Ken's specific request, his body has been privately interred. Ken, you lived life like you ran a race. You went to the starting blocks, looked down your lane and gave the race your best shot. You did it with honesty and spirit, and were a very proud Australian who has now run his last race. You were my champion in so many ways Love _ Margo. VK3MRK
