DOWNS. _ Henry John (Harry). Nov. 28, 1921 - Sept. 27, 2016 Passed away peacefully after a short illness Beloved Pop of Melinda and partner Paul, Alex and Arthur and families, Martyn and Nicky and great grandfather of Amber. A genuinely good bloke who loved his garden, playing (and winning) bowls and telling a story. Harry always had a kind word for others, and was adopted by many as an honorary Grandpa. He almost made it to 95, and only stopped weeding the garden a few months ago. He will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved him, from his close family to the lady at the bank. Headed off to play an eternal game of bowls on the long green with his adored wife Erena, do some fishing and grow some good tomatoes.
