DR BARBARA BAUERT

The Australian Medical Association, Northern Territory extends its deepest sympathy to the Bauert Family on their recent loss of one of our most valued members.

Barbara initially joined the AMA in 1974 as a Student and then returned in 1988 and was Northern Territory Vice-President from 2003 to 2006 and 2008 to 2016. She was Honorary Secretary in 2000 and 2001. She was admitted to the Roll of Fellows of the Federal AMA in 2008. Barbara has been an outstanding Leader of the Medical Profession in the Northern Territory for over 30 years and a tireless advocate for both doctors and patients. Barbara had a passion for improving indigenous health in the Territory.

A most valued, respected and admired colleague, mentor and friend. She is deeply missed.
