Dr. Richard "Dick" Geeves of Port Huon, Tasmania, died in the Royal Hobart Hospital on Saturday 18th July at the age of 95 after a brief illness and a long and active life. He was the husband of Barbara Geeves, (nee Tugwell d. 2002). Together, they had five sons who are now living in Tasmania and around Sydney, NSW. His family very much appreciate the many messages of sympathy received in recent days. 

Due to COVID 19 restriction a private committal will take place in Tasmania in coming days. The family intend to organise memorial services in both Geeveston, Tasmania and Sydney, NSW when restrictions on travel and assembly have eased. This may not be for several months. We hope that Dick's many relatives, friends and colleagues will be able to join the family when those events take place to celebrate Dick's life. We will place notices in The Mercury and via internet when the dates and venues are confirmed.
