Last week's requiem for "Duffy" was a grand send off for a man of enormous achievement, integrity and winning candour.

A colossus of the construction and racing industries, Graham dreamed large and always delivered, without fear or favour.

The finest of sports administrators, many athletes are in his debt for his outstanding leadership as Inaugural Chair of the Victorian Institute of Sport.

It was a privilege, Duffy.
