Our Sympathy and Condolences to John, Karen, Michelle, Robert and Lawrence and their families Barry, Leanne, Lisa, Robert and Natalie, friends and old workmates of the one & only Maxie Duggan, a lifelong building worker & unionist.
Maxie was a staunch, simple & direct character, who knew which side he was on. And he was prepared to make real sacrifices for that side. In 1980s he fought for the BLF and paid a heavy price, and when that struggle was resolved Maxie went back to representing fellow workers on sites for the CFMEU.
Maxie fought the good fight and steadfastly suffered through poor health in recent years in his normal staunch manner as he lived his life.
May he rest in Peace.
