Passed away at Cairns Base Hospital aged 61 years. Beloved husband of Gillian. Cherished son of Marion (dec'd) and George (dec'd). Son-in-law, brother-in-law of Mem, Joy (dec'd), Russell, Grant, Robyn and families. Peter's love for nature extended beyond his work to home life with many pets and the farming of alpacas. He also had a great love of music, playing the guitar and introducing his friends to a wide variety of music. Peter was a devoted scientist and one of Australia’s most respected ecologists and will be greatly missed by his many friends and colleagues
