Quincy Jones
Remembering Quincy Jones: the legendary music icon, producer, and philanthropist whose profound influence spanned over seven decades and inspired generations.
Our dear brother Robert
When you were young, I recall you would often call out to me “Rino help me” and I would gladly accommodate your desires. As time ensued you became capable of fighting your own battles. You gained respect from your peers and accomplices. You met your beloved wife Margaret and together created three wonderful children Fiore, Andrew and Adam. You fought hard and successfully to raise your family unit and progress and strive for its best possible outcome. Sure, there were ups and downs, but you could gloat at the outcome of your labours.
Seven beautiful grandchildren were the icing on the cake, and you would forever tell them “I love you” and they would reciprocate with gratitude.
Unfortunately, illness took over your body and mind and I was no longer able to help your cause. My wife Tina, who was in hospital at the same time as yourself, would implore you together with us all to take toll of your weakened capability – but alas – your recurrent expression of “enough is enough” took toll.
God heard your cries and called you to his domain, to the loving arms of our mother, father and brother Giovanni, where you could be forever comforted. Now you are able to hear my call of “Robert help me”.
Till we meet again brother, ciao. With love Rino and Tina
