FOX, Dr Janice Alison
29.05.1934 – 08.08.2021 Beloved wife of John (dec), devoted mother of Christopher, loved by Linda, proud grandmother of Lachlan, Jonathon (dec) and James, loved by Natalie. Lifelong friend of Brian (Mac). Blessed with close family and firm friends. A gifted and dedicated educator who made English literature in particular a pleasure for the legion of students that she taught and inspired. A scholar, with a deep love of literature, film and theatre. An authority on Shakespeare and Jane Austen. A passion in recent years for art history, and awarded a Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Melbourne at 78 years of age. Jan was a wonderful person who achieved much, made a mark on many lives, and did everything with grace and style. She will be sorely missed, but her memory will live on with us all.
