I remember the day we met at the Norwood dance hall and from that moment we were inseparable. When we created our first home you loved nothing better than tending to your garden where there was always an abundance of fresh fruit and veggies. You loved cooking barbecues for family and friends and the kids could always tell when dad had made the sauce or lasagna.
I treasure our shared memories of home, family, and holidays. We loved simple days with long walks and good times with friends. Meals around the dinner table will always hold a special place for you.
We fought through the tough times hand in hand.
Our love was so strong.
My heart is broken. The hardest thing I have ever done was say goodbye and let you go. Every moment of every day I will remember you. You may be gone from my sight but you are never gone from my heart.
See you again one day my sweetheart.
Your loving wife, Sue
From nothing you worked so hard to create something special, even when it was taken too soon, your stoicism in adversity illustrated just how generous you were. No one could ask for a better father. We will miss your endless crazy ideas and we're so proud you are our dad. You will live in us forever.
Love Pat and Suellen.
You savoured every moment of time on this planet and made the best of every day. We will treasure our holidays, our walks, and your pasta sauce. Memories to last a lifetime. No-one cooked with as much love as you. Your absence will be felt every day, but your legacy remains. Time for rest. No more pain. Godspeed dear father.
Love Maria and Ben.
Thank you for being the best dad a daughter could ever ask for. You taught me to be strong, courageous, kind, loving and loyal. You handled your battle with incredible strength and grace. I love you dearly and will miss our chats, gardening, and the times we spent together. You will be with me forever.
Love Angela.
I will miss your bright smile; no matter how down I was, resisting your grin was unimaginable. Though I can no longer feel your gentle embrace, I will never forget your warmth, like a summer afternoon spent on your beloved deck. From that same deck I will look fondly to the stars and remember you.
Love Eliza.
Life will never be the same without you, from singing our favourite songs in the Holden on the way home from childcare to sitting down and playing cards. Whenever I look back I always picture your loving smile, one that I’ll cherish forever.
Love Thomas.
You were a big part of my life. You were my first babysitter, went on holidays with me, and never backed down from a game of cards. I loved every second I was honoured to spend with you and am forever grateful.
Love Mollie.
It was so fun playing cards with you because there was no one good enough to win against you. You always knew what everyone wanted. We will remember you and talk about you every day.
Love Lewis.
