Chris stepped out of this world into the next, peacefully, and surrounded by family. We are deeply grateful to her carers, who looked after her, and us, beautifully. Chris was a committed activist, accomplished athlete, bushwalker, solo world traveller. Brave and loving, she dedicated her life to social justice - as a teacher, coordinator with CAFHS, and a champion of causes from the women's movement to refugee welfare. She believed in community, collaboration, and standing up for the underrepresented. Her spirit lives on in her partner John, children Jason, Matthew, and Sarah, her grandkids Olive, Iggy, Nico, Stevie, and in-laws Lindsay, Sean and Valerie. Farewell, happy travels. We love you.
