Sir Andrew Grimwade, CBE

The Board of Directors, staff and residents of Beolite Village wish to express their deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Sir Andrew Grimwade, CBE, our founding Chairman.

Sir Andrew’s contribution to the establishment of our not-for-profit Village is immeasurable. Since 2006, Sir Andrew poured his heart and soul into the establishment and on-going development of the Village, albeit in a voluntary capacity. Through his leadership and commitment Mansfield now boasts a thriving and growing retirement village, a feat of which he was immensely proud.

In 2021, Sir Andrew became Emeritus Chairman of Beolite Village as his vision and passion for our Village had never waned.

We will miss his wise counsel, wit and energy. But, most of all, we will miss the man who was Sir Andrew, a towering presence who has left an indelible mark on both Beolite Village and the wider Mansfield community.
