The Language of Us
Doris Falidis-Nickolas’ poetry beautifully captures love, loss, and remembrance, offering comfort to those navigating grief.
GUNTHER. _ Danny. To my bro Dan, I can't believe I'm saying goodbye like this. As I weep and bleed of your passing, the memories and laughter will be inside me forever. You were so strong right to the end. Only brothers get to share the chats we had. I will hold them close to my chest. A lot of people will be lost and asking why and what happened, but only you know and questions will be answered. So mate, bro, until we meet again, I know your spirit will be guiding me from right and wrong, and your eyes will be looking down on us, and your soul controlling the outcome. I will never forget you and I know who I want in the trenches fighting alongside me. So keep punching on, always brothers in arms. Love always _ Your bro Jimmy, sister-in-law to Julie, loved uncle to Emily and Laura.
