Darling Ninnie,

Time was treasured sitting with you by the window looking out at your beautiful garden, going through cook books, reminiscing over old favourite recipes, watching you, sun on your hair as you did the crossword with a cuppa. Tiny posies of roses & lavender attached to my birthday cards. Birthday cakes with fresh jam & topped with flowers from your garden. Party pies, rock cakes, scones, Irish stew & curried meatballs made with love & packaged with such care for us to take home. I loved to watch as you put hairpins in your beautiful hair, swept up in a bun. My heart aches for our goodnight call, but how lucky I feel for the thousands of calls we did have, hearing you say you loved me before I slept. I will always picture you standing at the window while we waved back & forth goodbye until we drove away out of sight. You were magnificent, kind, selfless & compassionate, to me your presence felt like home. I feel so blessed to have had you in my life. Your love for Johannes & Luca was everything. It has been an absolute privilege and honour to be loved by you and I will love you forever. Brooke xx
