HAMILTON, Rosemary Nanette
(Nan)
Mrs Rosemary Nanette Hamilton, known as “Nan”, who was born on 14 August 1930 at Memorial Hospital, North Adelaide, died at Warrina Vales Nursing Home at Morphett Vale, South Australia, on New Years’ Day 2025, aged 94.
Nan was the daughter of James Henry Edwards and May Bede Edwards (nee Spinkston), both deceased, and was the younger sister of Pamela Julie Coats of Melbourne, now aged 98.
Nan was previously married to Robert Frank Hamilton (since deceased), with whom she had her two much loved children, Mark Eric Hamilton and Edwina Jane Hamilton (deceased).
Nan was also the mother-in-law of Deborah Ann Hamilton (nee Roche) and loving and much loved grandmother of Mark and Deborah’s children, Alexandra Mary Roche Hamilton and Airlie Victoria Roche Hamilton.
Nan was aunt of James, Peter and Andrew Coats, and to Alistair, Virginia and Craig McTaggart.
Nan was much loved by her children, family and close friends. Her family is thankful for her care, love and friendship. The Hamilton family thanks the staff of the nursing home for their care of Nan over the last 18 months.
Nan will be buried in the Cemetery of St Mary’s Anglican Church on South Road at St Mary’s, South Australia following a private committal service. Robert’s ashes will be interred at that time.
